
Below are the EEAS UNISON Branch Committee members and their primary roles. They are responsible for ensuring all UNISON members of the Trust are supported and represented fairly in all aspects of their work.

Ross Stanton has a career in the Ambulance Service spanning 23 years and is a highly experienced and dedicated union representative. He takes the role of coordinating the work of the Branch. Ross can be contacted by clicking here.
Kevin is the elected Branch Secretary and oversees the operations of this UNISON branch. An experience union activist, Kevin's vast role within the branch is a full time one. He is supported by Barry Jarvis, Jackie Robinson and Frank Ward, together making a strong leadership unit for the EEAS-UNISON branch.
Barry is an experienced and dedicated activist. Formally an official within the former East Anglia Ambulance Service Branch, Barry now takes on the expanded role of membership representation of Norfolk and Suffolk. Barry has a good but firm relationship with the Trust's senior management making him an ideal activist that members benefit from.
Jackie Robinson is the head of the former Beds & Herts Ambulance Service Branch. She has over 10 years of experience in taking a lead role with protecting and representing staff, fighting against unfair changes and negotiating with the Trust’s Directors over staff issues. She is known to the senior management for her relentless ability to achieve fair working conditions for her members.
The region of Essex is currently looked by the recent appointment of John Davey who is an experienced activist within the Branch.
Wenter Senter has the responsibility for the financial house keeping for the branch. Her role includes insuring that members subscriptions are used within the branch wisely and all relevant records kept up-to-date.
The health, safety and welfare of the members is one of the key aims of UNISON. Rick Gray takes on the role of coordinating this vast area of work. Members are asked to contact Rick with any serious health & safety concerns they may have about their workplace.
The way in which the Branch communicates with its members is vastly important. Eric Miller is formerly the head of East Anglia Branch Communications and takes on the role of publishing the monthly EEAS-UNISON branch newsletter. Eric also takes the role of press liaison for the branch's work.
Pensions are one of the most important issues for staff of all generations. Specalist advice can now be obtained from Ian McKenna who joins the Committee to provide detailed advice to our members on their pensions arrangments. Ian maintains the Pensions Area for our website.
Disabled members in our branch are represented by Dave Edwards who is part of the branch committee and serves to advise the branch on work in this area.
Craig serves as the Branch's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Officer to represent the interests of our members within these groups. Craig can be contacted via e-mail to provide advice on any LGBT issue or advice on Sexual Orientation Regulations. All mail is treated in the strictest confidence.
Lesley Hilton has recently acheived a TUC Diploma in Employment Law which assists her in advicing female members. Her education also means she is experienced in flexible hours and paternity laws to protect male members of staff also.
Ian Cook is the Branch's Eductaion Officer and takes the lead for all the courses, development and training that the Branch Officers undergo.
Anand Pillai represents our black and ethnic minority members as we are priviliged enough to have our own specific officer for this cause.
Jackie is a dedicated activist and ensures that not only her Hertfordshire members, but the entire branch membership are updated with our work.
Gary Applin takes on the responsibility of representing members within Suffolk and Waveney regions of our Trust..
Carole takes on the lead role for the large area of Norfolk. She is an experienced union representative and is committed to member issues within he region. Along with all of her branch committee colleagues, Carole has a major role in shaping the new branch.

Tim Killick has been a station representative at Huntingdon for several years. He is currently completing a diploma in Employment Law which assits his work and was recently elected the Branch Union Learning Officer.
John Toomey is full time employee of UNISON and bridges the gap between UNISON national and branch level. John's responsibilities extend to all the UNISON branches within the Eastern UK. As a seasoned UNISON activist, John's experience in guiding the branch committee members has been invaluable in areas such as the Agenda for Change negotiations and the BHAPS Payroll Action.

Dave Prentis was re-elected UNISON general secretary in March 2005, with an overwhelming 77% of the vote. Recently, The Guardian listed the 100 most influential people in public services. Dave was placed fourth. The Guardian wrote:
"Dave has led Britain's biggest union formidably. He is carefully critical of aspects of public services reform, while maintaining dialogue with ministers … He won a groundbreaking deal on employment rights for contracted-out local government workers and could engineer a similar deal for NHS staff."
