UNISON has commissioned an independent consultancy to review bullying, harassment, discrimination and casework in the East of England Ambulance Service.

The IX and meal break pilot,  jointly agreed between the Trust and UNISON, has now been running for 11 weeks. The meal break changes have been put in place Trustwide and in keeping with the agreement, IX has today been rolled out to Essex. B&H will follow next week.

UNISON in EEAST is supporting a number of our members with employment tribunal claims in relation to holiday pay. This is following legal precedent around the rate of pay while on annual leave.

We also raised a grievance with the Trust in March this year and at the recent hearing the grievance was partially upheld.

UNISON has been campaigning to put staff back at the heart of our service, since launching our #PBTH campaign in 2015. Our campaign aims to make the Trust a more supportive employer - helping to support mental health awareness and culture change.
